About White Peruvian People
White Peruvians comprise approximately 6% of the population per the 2017 INEI census. The community traces ancestry primarily to Spanish colonial settlement (16th-19th c.) concentrated in Lima and the major coastal and highland administrative centers, plus 19th-20th c. immigration from Italy, Germany, France, Britain, and the Levant (Lebanon, Syria, Palestine). The community is concentrated in Lima and other coastal cities with smaller communities in Arequipa, Trujillo, and Cusco. Italian-Peruvian and German-Peruvian sub-communities are culturally salient but not separately enumerated in census categories.

Skin tone is predominantly Fitzpatrick II-III with seasonal tanning. Hair is dark brown to medium brown with wavy to straight texture (Andre Walker 1B-2B), occasionally lighter in families with Northern Italian, German, or other Northern European descent. Facial features track Iberian, Italic, and Germanic source populations with narrower nasal bridges and oval-to-rectangular face shapes. Eye color is most often brown but with elevated frequencies of hazel, green, and blue variants compared to the broader Peruvian average. Build is on average taller than the broader Peruvian norm, similar to Southern European populations.
