Abkhaz Georgians comprise approximately 0.1% of the Georgian-controlled territory population — the broader Abkhaz population is concentrated in the de facto independent Abkhazia (~245,000+ population; recognized by Russia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Syria, Nauru; not recognized by Georgia or the international community broadly) plus the Abkhaz diaspora in Turkey (~150,000-1.5M+ depending on enumeration).
